As we continue with the Lenten season is good to go through the station of the Cross on Fridays ( for Catholics), and imagine what Our Lord Jesus Christ suffered for us to set us from sin and bondage from the evil one.
Like I always mention am not a Saint, but you can work with me so we can achieve that goal. I get mad, I get angry, I get frustrated and do some things I shouldn’t. Why? Because am human am not using it as a getaway card to make excuses.
I Sin I realize what I did or said and go to confession as a Catholic and ask God to give me his Divine grace to be a better image and likeness of him.
Is a process. So if anyone feels they are living with no sin should cast the first stone.
I have a daily affirmation I have to recite on my head to get through the day. Trust me we have temptations around us that we can fall into. With God’s infinite mercy and Grace, we can overcome whatever comes our way.
Side Note my friends’ ones asked me when do you find time to write all these you really have time in your hand. And I replied, ” If you are passionate about something it doesn’t feel like anything”. We can make out time to do anything we put our mind and heart into. We have 24hrs in a day we can decide what our priorities are. One thing I know about me is am good at multitasking. Maybe I should slow down, but that’s me if am not doing a lot of things at the same time I don’t feel fulfilled.
Back to my topic about “unforgiveness”, I learned a lot through a few retreats I attended, and am glad I did go because there’s a lot of things I never knew I was doing wrong as a so-called Christain till I silent my worldly life and paid attention to the Scriptures.
Below are few memos you can skim through on your convenience time.
I know you might say well he or she wronged me I can’t forgive them. remember when you don’t forgive you are holding yourself in bondage the other person doesn’t even know that you are mad or anger or holding grudges against them. They’re living like nothing happened except you.
You don’t have to go and talk to them on how they wronged you. No, but you can pray that God gives you the heart to remove the bad feelings towards them.
Like me, for example, I had a very tough ending in 2018. I felt like cursing, fighting, and revenging. But I thought to myself if I revenge then what. God won’t do what he wanted to do for me. So I let it go and ask God to melt my heart and fill it with Love towards the people that hurt me. Because people that hurt people hurt themselves so the only way they feel good is to hurt other people too.
But two wrongs can’t make a right. SO I stepped back and ask God to take control and feel my heart with His Joy and Happiness and to be closer to Him.
A friend asked me if I see the person that hurt me what will I do. I replied nothing. because it won’t make sense fighting what God has taken care of is like taking the authority from God’s hand. I don’t what to fight a fight only God can fight for me.
Trust me if it was during the time I was hurt I will have a different reply, but God is Good. And in him I Trust and his my Refuge.
