So I was talking to my Mom during the Christmas Holiday. Was asking her how did my dad become so “have it all” I don’t what to use the world “wealthy” because that’s what people see when they look at us when we were little.
My Mom told me is her prayers that lifted him up.
He was a very busy man and hardly pray I admit, but he find time whenever he’s home from travelling to spend time with us and say family prayers together.
Mom said prayer is the Master key. That every woman, wife, mother or even single people should know how to pray.
Not saying go get married to a man that doesn’t believe in God and be his prayer warrior. nope. Someone that believe in God have time for prayers when he can. And with you by his side is a powerful union.
It will open a lot of things to you. Even when people are plotting against you God will review it to you. I must admit i have some set backs in my twenties now am in my thirty is like am starting life all over again. Well which is God because remember they said a fool at Forty is a fool forever.
So am trying to get things organized and straighten out before that frothy come. God help me or us I should say. Baby steps Rome wasn’t built in a day.
She also mentioned one important thing about giving. Not giving to brag about it like how people do now showing off what they did on social media for people to praise them, but giving for God’s name to be praised.
But if you give privately and the person wants to encourage you or give you thanks openly is different. Don’t let the left hand see what the right hand is giving. How does the saying go again ???
The bible also said. Give in secret and God will bless you because even though people didn’t see it. God that sees in secret will bless you abundantly in secret and people will start asking you for your secret or how you glow and become so happy all of a sudden.
The answer “prayer”.
I feel like am sounding like those annoying people we all dislike. LOL
But to be honest Mom was right.
I know the life we live now is all over people’s face. I admit it I did it before, but am learning.
I did few research and it says we should give about 10% of our earning to the church. But give with joyful heart and not when giving and cursing people.
Some have churches to build wealth but God knows our heart. Everything that God support will be successful and remain that way. If is for evil it will succeed but will collapse later because it wasn’t built in God’s Love and Will.
Sometime I say to myself ehh I don’t have that money to give, i have lots of bills to pay and won’t have enough left to give the church, but if we put money away particularly in an envelope for church offerings and don’t use it we will complain less and have it ready whenever we need it.
So I talked about New Year resolution in my previous post this is addition to it.
paying my church tithe should be one too, and see how God works in marvelous ways.
And don’t forget to thank God for what you have.
I will end her. Sometimes I get in the mood of writing all day, but I have to do other things. Whenever an idea comes to my mind i write it down so it won’t escape from me is my idle thing here.
If you are catholic and a Legionary remember whenever you say the Catena . It goes like ” he fills the starving with good things, and sends the rich away empty.” That hits me all the time when I say that prayer, but is true. It happens.
If you notice I always refer to Catholic teaching because that’s the religion I grew up with and haven’t tried other domination, but all the Bible teachings are the same depending on how you read and interpret them.
