So the other night oh well every night we say night prayers. So My son was tired; so am I. Then I asked him to lead in prayers. Boy Oh Boy did he rush that prayers like he was running a marathon.
I said wait a minute… what are you talking about I did not hear any single thing you just said was that prayer or you were having a conversation with yourself. Kids.. tell me about it.
I have to stop the prayer and explain something to him. Okay imagine you need something or not only when you need something, But you were talking to me and mumbled throughout the conversation. Guess what I didn’t understand what you said that means I have to keep asking you to repeat yourself.
That’s how it feels when you pray. if you rush your prayers and I don’t understand a word you said. How do you think God will understand you, too ? I asked him.
I know he’s a kid I shouldn’t be hard on him, but the same Bible said “Spare the Rod and Spoil the Child.” No one is saying anything about spanking here don’t misquote me, but if you do let some things slide. It will end up been part of them and ones they hit that teenage age… forget it that’s it. Unless God’s signs and wonders happen.
Prayer is a form of talking to God. I was thought. When you pray be firm, speak clearly to God in a way he can understand your need not mumbling. The Bible said God already know our needs, but we have to ask. The question is are we asking in a correct tone or are we mumbling to him ? Because he can’t hear from the way we are communicating with him.
No wonder some of my prayers haven’t been answered (guilty). LOL
Say the prayer below gently, hear yourself as you say it, and mediate on what you’re saying. Those words have meaning to it.
